Origin

A privileged area
La Rioja Alta
Discover the area of La Rioja where wine and art have coexisted for centuries.
Rivum wines are produced to the north in the DOC Rioja, very close to the Montes Obarenes and around four small towns with a long tradition of grapes cultivation.

In the Rioja Alta the Atlantic climate dominates, with mild temperatures in both winter and summer and moderate rainfall. These are exceptional conditions for obtaining consistent, high quality wines.
The soils in this area of the Rioja are divided between clay-limestone, clay-ferrous and alluvial soils, which allow filtration and require good exploration of the soil by the roots, giving rise to more voluminous and tannic wines.
